About Us

Flying Pigs Curbside Recycling is owned and operated by 2 individuals: Jerard McEachern and his partner Thea Harvey.

Jerard McEachern has been living in Canmore for 3 years. He started out in Canmore sanding and finishing hardwood floors, which he enjoyed due to his creative and detail-oriented personality. His love of the Bow Valley caused him to jump on purchasing Flying Pigs so he could be invested in the community. Jerard enjoys interacting with his clients on his weekly pick-up route and is passionate about waste management in the beautiful Bow Valley.

Thea Harvey has been living in Canmore for 2.5 years and is a full-time R.M.T in Banff. Thea is passionate about nature and sustainable living and sees being part of Flying Pigs as a great learning experience. "Living in the Bow Valley and working to help people reduce their impact on this beautiful environment is a dream come true."

Mission Statement

To provide convenient and affordable curbside pick-up of recyclable materials to local businesses and residences in the Bow Valley,with emphasis on customized service. Also we are passionate about instilling the value of recycling and pre-cycling in younger generations.
