Flying Pigs Zero Waste Events It is great to see large events begin to recognize the imprint they leave on this beautiful location. Flying Pigs is always willing to take part, help or organize an event to provide recycling and create a zero waste event for your organization! Flying Pigs does not charge for these events. It is our way of imputing back into a community that supports us. April 26th/09 - Rocky Mountain Soap Company Women's Run - Flying Pigs will be providing all recycling services to this community event free of charge. Items to be recycled is cardboard, plastic, refundables, as well as paper. We are excited to be part of this day and see less waste in the garbage's. Watch for our door prize featuring 1 year of Free Recycling! Check out their event at: http://http://www.rmswomensrun.com/main.php July 1st/08 - Canada Day - Flying Pigs was thrilled to be part of the zero waste event in Centennial Park. Providing an avenue for all attendees to recycle paper plates, napkins, plastic cups. etc. It was a successful event and we were happy to see the attendees embrace the new ideas of zero waste events! August 2-4th/08 Canmore Folk Festival - The set up for the festival was already organized, we came in and removed all recycling to the Town of Canmore recycling station. It was a very well organized event and all waste was given the opportunity to be recycled or composted. It was a great event and Flying Pigs was honored to be part of such a well put together event! Septemeber 7th/08 - CAUSE Canada Race......Flying Pigs was happy to be part of this "green race." We removed cardboard, plastic and paper. Bow Valley Waste Management was also on hand for composting. |
